Blood Atonement and the Deity of Christ

Usually, I do not have an issue with which translation of a Bible people use. In my opinion, the best translation is the one you will read. However, I do have issues with people passing around misinformation, and that is what this post is about.

I got several friends who are King James Only people. This literally blows my mind. These people actually think King James is superior to all other translations, or even that King James is the only true translation. I mean, what kind of mind job does a person have to go through to believe that kind of rubbish? Most of these people have never studied Hebrew, never studied Greek, most have never even studied French or Spanish, so clearly know nothing about how translation works. I even had someone tell me that all modern translations were translated from the Dead Sea Scrolls, which they believe were found in 1812. Of course, it is well documented that the Dead Sea Scrolls were found 1947, we have entire books that are missing, the only complete chapter comes from the book of Isaiah, and what the Dead Sea Scrolls tell us is that the Biblical text has NOT changed. So I literally have no idea where they came up with that idea.

The craziest idea is what I am addressing in this post. I am posting it here so that others can easily find a single place that addresses it. I have heard a King James Only preacher state again and again that ONLY the King James has the Blood Atonement of Christ and the Deity of Christ in it. Obviously they have never even bothered to pick up another translation, and have people in their congregation believing this foolishness. To address it, I went through and found every single verse on these subjects that I could find, and compared them across multiple translations. One of the translations was translated by the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute, and one is the official Catholic English translation, and one is the official Southern Baptist translation.
